Ingvild Maria Thingnes (f. 1996)
My name is Ingvild Maria Thingnes. I grew up in Førde/Sunnfjord, until I moved to Bergen for high school (2012) and Stavanger for university (2015). I work as a dance artist, cultural manager and producer, now based in Stavanger.

I have a broad field of interest for different ways of working with and for art, and I'm particularly interested in different forms of artistic co-creation and collaboration, as well as researching different methodologies connected to dance and movement.

Since 2020 I've been invested in building and developing the multidisciplinary artist workspace KRA in Stavanger, together with friend and collegue Eduardo Scaramuzza. I believe that our work environment and collegiate plays an important role in our artistic practices and creations.

As a performer I am grateful to be working with Hagit Yakira Dance company and Kunstgrillen interdisciplinary performance ensemble, as well as having the chance to create my own work and collaborate with artists such as Eduardo Scaramuzza, Sarka Benedova and Shahrzad Malekian.

I have my education in dance from the University in Stavanger (2018), with an exchange semester at Escola Superior de Danca in Lisboa (2017). I attended Vertigo International Dance Program in Jerusalem in 2019, and did an internship with Hagit Yakira Dance the same year. I have also participated in several cultural/social entrepreneuring programs such as Ovasjon, Storhaug Unlimited and Vippepunkt.
